Gluten Free Brisket Soup

A wonderful way to warm up on a cold day. Brisket, rice, onions and celery in a delicious broth that is cooke over several hours in your crockpot.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Grass fed brisket
  • 2 cups Rice
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 Celery
  • 2 tbsp Canola oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Water to fill crockpot

Instructions
 

  • Add oil to large crockpot
  • With kitchen shears, cut brisket into 3-4 thick pieces and add to crockpot
  • Peel onion, cut in half and add to crockpot
  • Cut stems of celery, rinse and add
  • Fill the crockpot with cold water, enough to cover all of the ingredients
  • Add salt
  • Set the crockpot on low for 9-10 hours
  • About 30 minutes before meal is done, prepare rice

Notes

Once the brisket and rice are cooked it is time to prepare your soup.
Find the 3-4 pieces of brisket and a few of the celery stalks and place in a bowl. Cut up the desired amount of brisket in a separate bowl. Add desired amount of rice. Cut up and add the desired amount of celery. Add broth and enjoy!
Add salt to taste if desired.
